Seed Cotton

Markou Bros purchase seed cotton from local Greek cotton producers in Larissa and Viotia in order to feed the ginning mills and produce lint cotton bales. The quality and thus the pricing of unginned (seed) cotton are affected by climate conditions prevailing during the production season, the method of collection, transportation, storage and processing.

Markou Bros brand name and the large and easy-to-access facilities guarantee the final and most important part of cotton’s farming cycle, that of cotton delivery to a ginning mill, to be problem-free in order to not affect cotton’s quality and to pay off the farmers’ yearly efforts.
